Inspire – We are inspiring youth through the First Tee Golf & Life Skills Experience to do great things on and off the golf course.
Support – We are supporting each child by providing a welcome environment and knocking down barriers to build a path to success.
Empower – We are empowering our youth to achieve goals and be proud of who they are.
This is a full-service program customized for each community partner to create equity. We provide healthy meals, uniform golf attire, equipment, etc., as needed to make this an enjoyable, safe, and positive experience for all. Once participants become familiar with the game of golf and transition to traditional First Tee program opportunities at their local golf course, we provide Golferships as needed so that registration fees do not prevent any child from continuing with our program.
Through partnerships with the Girl Scouts and other local youth groups, in 2022 we held 18 classes and served over 380 meals to participants and their families. We presented 27 youth with their own set of clubs to keep, and we provided apparel which included RISE team golf shirts and hoodies.
A total of 114 youth participated in 2022, with 81% non-Caucasian and 59% Female.
We will be expanding in 2023 with a goal of doubling our impact!
